
My Story
My entry into art marketing started in 2007 when helping to promote and sell my father's watercolor paintings of bluegrass musicians. This initial challenge allowed me to apply my sales, marketing, and communication skills to the art world - including crafting targeted press releases, implementing early online sales strategies, and developing systems for inventory management.
He quickly garnered attention and sales by strategically targeting niche bluegrass publications and building a dedicated online presence. This work led to a commission from the International Bluegrass Music Association and recognition in The Wall Street Journal, illustrating the power of strategic marketing. This experience helped lay the foundation of my art marketing experience, showing the effectiveness of understanding a specific niche and applying tailored strategies like email outreach and content marketing to achieve tangible results.
